The Mawddach Estuary and its string of small towns form the heart of this part of Gwynedd, where sandy beaches meet the foothills of Eryri. Bwthyn Clyd sits on a small complex of holiday properties, giving you your own space while sharing use of the grounds and a hot tub. A barn conversion with a single bedroom and ensuite, it contains everything needed for two people: a combined living and dining room with television and DVD player, a kitchen with oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave, and a bedroom with a kingsize bed. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all covered. One dog is welcome and can stay at no extra cost, though it should be kept on a lead in this sheep-farming landscape.
The property opens onto a small patio with seating; a larger shared garden with furniture is also available. Parking for one car is provided. The location suits anyone keen on the outdoors—the Mawddach Trail follows the estuary for cycling, the coast and surrounding hills offer day walks, and castles at Bala, Caernarfon and Harlech are within reach. The Neolithic burial chamber at Dyffryn Ardudwy lies nearby. Check-in is after 16:00 and checkout before 10:00. No smoking.
