🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Bwthyn Tyddyn Sachau

Families and groups of up to six will find Bwthyn Tyddyn Sachau well suited to a base on the Llŷn Peninsula. The cottage sits next to an established garden centre, which runs a café serving home-cooked food daily—handy when you don't feel like cooking yourself. The setting puts you within reach of Pwllheli's shops, market, leisure centre and marina, and the beaches of Cardigan Bay lie just a mile or so away. Snowdonia National Park is accessible for day trips.

The layout spreads across two floors: ground level holds a living and dining room with a wood burner and patio doors opening to the garden, plus a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs are three bedrooms—two with double beds, one with two singles—and a bathroom with shower over the bath. The property is yours entirely, with private parking for two cars and an enclosed lawn with patio and seating. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi come as standard, and there's initial fuel for the burner included. Cots and highchairs are available. The cottage does not allow smoking.

Close by, Pwllheli offers weekly markets and a good range of eating places; a restaurant sits just yards from the door. Caernarfon Castle and Snowdon Mountain Railway are within easy driving distance, making this a practical base for exploring both coast and mountains.

Fantastic garden centre Great choice of very well cared for plants and staff were really helpful and friendly. We brought some fantastic pots one of which was in the sale, an acer tree and a lavender and a cute little dragon garden ornament. Going back again to get another stone garden ornament. We had lunch in the cafe which has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Food was first class, we had ham salad, proper ham and plenty of it fresh salad and a warm bread roll. Again staff were lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend

Second vist today, really nice homely cafe. Reasonable prices and good quality. Staff are very friendly and chatty. Its nice to go out for food and not feel you have had a nice meal at an affordable price.

This is my new favourite garden centre. It has some absolutely lovely flowers shrubs and plants in. Each time I visit always different stock. The cafe is very nice too and the staff are just so friendly. Very affordable prices too which is even better! You can tell care has gone into this garden centre

We stopped on our way to play golf in Pwllheli, thought we would get a decent breakfadt before playing. We were so wrong!! We had a very poor breakfast there today, the ingredients were sub standard!! The plate was heaped with cheap beans and greasy sliced mushrooms which looked as if they came from a tin, they did this to make it look like you had a plate full!! The bacon was over cooked, like eating the sole of your shoe, and the quality of the sausage was very poor, thin and hard! The cost was £9.95 which included filter coffee which was £2.45 if bought on its own, i asked to upgrade to a cappuccino which was £3.25 on the menu, they still charged me the full price instead of charging the difference!! I went back for the filtered coffe as it was part of the breakfast cost. It was shocking to be honest, we will never go there again, it was a lesson learnt! The 3 of us were very disappointed, we each marked it out of 10, two of us said 3 and the other 4 out of 10. Absolute rubbish!! In welsh, Warthus a wast o bres!!
