Galeri Harlech Townhouse

Photo: Chris de Wet

Galeri Harlech Townhouse is a three-bedroom property occupying the first and second floors above a gallery, positioned on Harlech's High Street between Snowdonia's mountains and Cardigan Bay. The whole place is yours alone, sleeping up to six across a double, another double, and a twin room, with two bathrooms to share. One double has its own ensuite; the other rooms access the main bathroom with its roll-top bath.

The kitchen comes with a full-sized oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine and generous fridge-freezer built into retro-style fitted units. A dining table in the open-plan area overlooks both the street and the coast. Upstairs, the living room stretches across the first floor with large windows framing views of Castell Harlech—just 60 metres away—and out towards the Llyn Peninsula. A feature fireplace and reading corner occupy one end; sofas face the windows at the other. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are all included. The enclosed garden provides outside space, and one car parking permit comes with the booking (a deposit applies). One well-behaved pet stays free. The property does not permit smoking.

What a great gallery this is featuring local artists and a good selection of books and small gifts. They also have “ pop up” events from time to time featuring a couple of artists who will gladly talk you through their art. Overall a great place to visit.
