Gell Cottage is a single-storey stone barn conversion near Criccieth in Gwynedd, sleeping four across two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The property sits adjacent to the owner's house and shares use of a one-acre garden with patio, seating and a barbecue. An unfenced pond lies 30 yards into the garden, so this matters if you're travelling with young children. Parking is on site, and there's a bike store for exploring the Llyn Peninsula's network of coastal paths and quiet lanes.
The open-plan living space contains a kitchen with full cooking facilities including a dishwasher, a dining area and a sitting room with television and DVD player. One bedroom has a double bed with an ensuite shower; the other has two single beds served by a bathroom with bath and shower. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. The location puts you a mile from Criccieth's beach and its cafes and restaurants, within reach of Criccieth Castle perched on its rocky headland, and positioned for day trips to Snowdonia, the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railways at Porthmadog, and various walks and cycle rides across the peninsula. A shop and pub are also a mile away.

The cottage is beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable. The gardens are very attractive and parking is excellent. The owners and their family are friendly yet unobtrusive. We know that each time we stay there we will leave Gell Cottage at the end of our stay feeling that we have had a wonderful break in a home from home. We can't wait for our 6th visit in 2023.
