Llwyngwril is a small coastal village in Gwynedd where traditional stone cottages line quiet streets, a pub sits within walking distance, and the sea is moments away. Glasfor—Welsh for "The Blue Sea"—sits among these buildings, backed by the mountains of Eryri National Park. The pebble beach is a five-minute walk; Fairbourne's sandy stretch lies three miles south. A railway station nearby offers scenic journeys along Cardigan Bay to Barmouth and Aberdyfi, both with harbours, shops and restaurants.
The cottage has two bedrooms upstairs: one with a kingsize bed, the other with a kingsize that converts to two singles. A shower room serves both. Downstairs, the living room centres on a wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen and dining area has everything needed for self-catering, with patio doors opening to a rear courtyard and sitting area. Original features—lower ceilings, uneven floors—give the property character. Electricity, heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included; a welcome pack awaits arrival.
This is a base for exploring Snowdonia's walking and cycling routes, the local golf course, or bird-watching spots. One well-behaved dog is welcome. No smoking throughout. Check-in is after 15:00, checkout before 10:00.

A beautiful cozy cottage in a great location. Everything you need with a local pub that does basic pub grub and a well stocked shop. Excellent value too. Would definitely stay again.

We can’t really recommend Glasfor Cottage unfortunately. The location is great, the double bed is comfy and the space is reasonable. It just feels like it needs a lot of tlc. We arrived in the evening to find the village shop has actually closed down (the pub has too) - it would have been great if the host had mentioned this so we could have come prepared - and we hadn’t even been left with soap, so we had to drive 9 miles to the supermarket. The house wasn’t especially clean, the loo seat and two of the three bathroom lights were all broken and the back garden was a complete mess. It’s a massive shame because it could be a great little space if someone bothered spending a minute tidying it up (and leaving the most basic of essentials for guests e.g. one bar of soap), but it just feels pretty unloved.

Quaint little cottage in a beautiful area. Two good sized bedrooms and gorgeous log fire in lounge. A nice added touch would have been to have a starter pack for log fire since we arrived late Sunday and no shops open. No other heating in the lounge either so ended up a little chilly first night without the wood. The area is a fabulous starting point for some fab walks.

Love the location. Bed was comfy and the local pub was welcoming. However there was no logs to start a fire in the log burner (which was disappointing as you show logs in your pictures) and there were no tea towels anywhere in the kitchen. The bathroom bin had not been emptied and there was no mirror. It states that you have low ceilings, but it should say- anyone taller than 5'6 will have have problem with the bedroom ceilings and especially with the shower. Overall a comfy bed for the night but the description is extremely misleading.
