🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Ty Newydd

Ty Newydd is a detached cottage in Llwyngwril, a village on the Cambrian coast within Eryri National Park. The location works well for families: a sandy beach is 500 yards away, a shop and pub are on the doorstep, and the railway station—just 200 yards off—connects to Tywyn and Porthmadog. For steam railway enthusiasts, the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways are within easy reach. Barmouth, a traditional seaside resort, lies 16 miles south.

The cottage has four bedrooms spread across two floors: a kingsize four-poster, a double, and two rooms with zip-and-link or single beds. Three bathrooms mean no queuing. Downstairs, the living room and kitchen/dining room both have a Freeview TV and DVD player, a woodburner (with logs supplied), and a full range of kitchen equipment including a dishwasher. The games room has a pool table and washing machine. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered; oil heating (with underfloor warming on the ground floor) keeps things comfortable. A travel cot and highchair are available for younger children. Outside, there's an enclosed patio with a covered seating area, and parking for four cars.

Beyond the village, Snowdonia opens up. Mount Snowdon and Coed y Brenin Forest Park are within driving distance, as are Bounce Below and Zip World in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Harlech Castle, the Llyn Peninsula, and a horseriding centre offering beach rides. The cottage is non-smoking throughout.
