Is-Helen Cottage is a traditional farmhouse standing on a working farm beside the Menai Straits, with views stretching across the water towards the Isle of Anglesey. The building's character comes through in its feature fireplace and wood burner, both of which are ready to use on arrival. Set on 110 acres, the cottage sits just yards from a private beach and shares the grounds with the owner's caravan park; guests can wander the farm and watch the calves being fed if they wish.
The accommodation sleeps six across three bedrooms: two doubles upstairs and a bunk room, served by a single bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs, the living and dining rooms open onto a fitted kitchen where you can prepare full meals. The cottage comes with the essentials covered—electricity (with a small allowance included), bed linen, Wi-Fi and heating—plus initial fuel for the wood burner and a barbecue in the enclosed garden. Private parking for three cars is on site.
Caernarfon Castle and the town centre lie a short drive away, while an 18-hole golf course adjoins the farm and a boat launch is nearby. The Welsh Highland Railway starts from Caernarfon, running into Snowdonia. Beaches on Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula are ten miles away. One dog stays free. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
