A former railway station converted into a holiday home, Penhelyg sits in Penhelig within Eryri National Park, where the landscape meets the sea. The building retains its character while offering three bedrooms—two with king-size beds and one with two single beds—alongside two bathrooms, making it suitable for families or groups of up to six. One dog stays free. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; heating and a full kitchen with electric cooking, washing machine and tumble dryer mean you have everything needed for a longer stay.
The ground floor has an open-plan living and dining area with Freeview television, while an 8-step entrance leads to all spaces. Windows overlook both Tremadoc Bay and the mountains beyond. Outside, there is a garden with seating and parking for two cars on site. The Penhelig Arms Hotel is nearby, and the location puts you within reach of Harlech beach—a four-mile stretch of sand with the only active dune system in Wales—and numerous walking routes through the surrounding hills. Snowdon, Wales's highest peak, lies less than twenty miles away. No smoking inside the property.

Visited this place while lost on my way to New Quay in July 2026 - it's an absolute beautiful view from the train, the sand banks, the water, the slow train moving on that one single line. Maybe to visit again when not lost, another day or another year.
