Penlon Cottage is arranged entirely at ground level: step inside and you find a living room, kitchen-diner, utility space with laundry, three double bedrooms, a bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle, and a separate toilet. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob and microwave. There is a garden with sitting-out area and parking for two cars on site. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with electricity; oil central heating keeps the cottage warm. A cot and highchair are available if needed.
The cottage stands on the outskirts of Trefor in Gwynedd, within a mile of the Welsh coastline. Trefor beach—a mix of sand and shingle—is walkable from the property, as is the coastal path. The setting is quietly rural but close enough to coastal attractions to explore on foot or by car. No smoking is permitted inside. Children are welcome; the single bathroom and one toilet serve the whole property, so families should account for that when planning their stay.

We used the camping facilities with electric hookup. You can choose our own pitch. Toilet/shower facilities were good. The views are amazing. Within easy reach of Pwllheli and Caernarfon

Fantastic little site, facilities are spot on and it's a complete sun trap which I found lovely! Also thank you to the kind lady who looked after my backpack and also paid for my shower as I didn't have any change! It was very much appreciated and I would definitely stay here again.

Location was good, not too far from the better beaches and attractions. There is a small mini market in the village, just down the road. The cottage overall was ok, well stocked spacious kitchen, good utilities, a spacious lounge and a good bathroom. However, the bedrooms where very damp, the beds where very uncomfortable for everyone. Not one of us had a good night's sleep! The beds are to soft and VERY lumpy. They would benefit from mattress toppers at the very least. No WiFi but fortunately the mobile signal is pretty good in the area. DVD player does not work, and overall the tech is very, very dated. It becomes apparent that the cottage which is a converted stable, has not been updated since the conversion was done some time ago. (We for whatever reason, never met Mary)
