About Parc Elernion
Jeff and Shirley's intimate retreat sits at the foot of The Rivals, whose dramatic 1,700-foot peaks form a wild backdrop to just a handful of pitches. The site occupies a corner of 52 acres of woodland rich with bluebells, badgers and birdsong, with direct access to the Wales Coast Path and a sandy harbour beach a short stroll away. Campers praise the peaceful setting and warm welcome, though facilities are basic – the shower block added in 2016 covers essentials without frills.
Beyond the site's wooded seclusion, historic coastal villages and castles pepper the shoreline, while inland routes lead to Snowdon's summit railway. With cycling, mountain biking and fishing all nearby, it's a walker's and wildlife-watcher's haven that trades manicured convenience for raw Gwynedd beauty.

Stayed here for two years on a seasonal touring pitch. Fab site, brilliant toilet / shower block. Great price and Geoff the owner is a top man. Wish I was there this year but it was just a bit to far to travel. Hope to see you again. Nigel

Fab barn in quiet location perfect get away for my sister and I. Everything we needed for a country escape. Showers and toilets very clean and easily accessible. Shirley gave us a list of nearby restaurants and maps so we could explore. Will definitely be back going to try out the cottage next. Thank you.

Lovely quiet site in a beautiful location. Touring pitches are next to a small stream which is lovely to hear when sitting outside. Near to beaches with easy access to the A55. Friendly and helpful owner who keeps the site very clean and tidy. There is a petrol station/supermarket nearby which also stocks calor gas and a few small local shops. This is one of my favourite sites.

A hidden gem for a budget stay. We stayed in the camping barn for 3 nights in late August. The barn was comfy and cosy and spacious for our family of 3. It had a microwave, fridge with box freezer, toaster, black out blinds, comfy bunk beds, TV, dvd player and lots of choice of dvds. The campsite toilets and showers were the best we've ever experienced - spotlessly clean and showers were powerful and hot. The adjoining woodland walk is beautiful and magical in the evening. Trefor is really close to lots of interesting local tourist spots such as Caernarfon, Abersoch, Criccith and Portmadog. For £40 per night, this was a real bargain for the last week if the summer holidays.
