🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Penrhyn Mawr

Penrhyn Mawr works well for families or small groups wanting countryside and coast without compromise. The farmhouse sits on active farmland in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by National Trust land, with views over the water. It's a listed building with genuine character—exposed stonework, an inglenook fireplace—rather than a modern conversion, and peaceful enough to feel properly rural, yet only a mile or so from Aberdaron's beach, pubs and shops.

Three bedrooms sleep six: a double with ensuite bathroom upstairs, a second double, and a twin room, plus a main bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs there's a sitting room with woodburner, and a kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine for managing a week's self-catering. Bed linen and towels are provided, heating is included, and there's a patio with garden furniture and parking for one car on site. A cot and highchair are available if needed. No smoking throughout.

The location puts Snowdonia National Park within reach for days out, while Pwllheli's broader amenities are a short drive away. For walkers or anyone wanting to explore the Lleyn Peninsula properly, staying put here and taking trips from the farmhouse works better than a village base.
