Ysgol Jos Bach

Pwllheli sits on the Lleyn Peninsula with beaches within a few miles, coastal paths leading into Snowdonia, and the Welsh Highland Railway at Porthmadog just down the coast. Ysgol Jos Bach occupies an elevated spot above the harbour itself—the name means Small Jones' School in Welsh, a nod to its former life. The conversion has created a proper three-level home rather than a clever novelty, with bedrooms distributed across the lower ground and first floors, a proper open-plan living space and kitchen on the ground level, and outdoor space including a rear garden and balcony.

Two bedrooms have kingsize beds; one has bunks. There are two bathrooms—a full bath on the lower ground floor and a walk-in shower upstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with a dishwasher and washing machine included. Central heating, electricity, bed linen and Wi-Fi are covered in the rental. One car can be parked 50 yards away. The property suits six people and welcomes one pet free of charge. No smoking inside. The garden has steps and includes a low wall with a significant drop, so children need supervising. Check-in is after 16:00; checkout before 10:00.

Caernarfon's castle and UNESCO World Heritage site are easily reached. Criccieth and Pwllheli itself both have beaches and independent shops. Anglesey is close enough for a day trip. The nearest beach is eight miles away.
