We booked 8 nights for my husband to run a walking holiday. This site has great potential. Lovely quiet place by the river and close enough to Ripponden to easily walk.... however we had no contact with the owner and didn't see him. The toilets are not adequate for the number of units and we never saw anyone clean them. We booked a glamping pod for our daughter - wow. It is a wooden structure with a comfortable bed and heating. Glamping is the wrong word. No water up by the pods. Very expensive for what it was. This site could be brilliant but the owner appears badly organised, people not knowing which pitch to go on, showers cold at some times and a smelly skip as a bin. Just back from a fantastic 5-day stay! Like a few others have mentioned, you do wonder if you’ve taken a wrong turn as you head through a car park and along the river, but once you arrive, it’s a little hidden gem. We stayed on Pitch 3. There are quite a few seasonal pitches, but everyone we met was really friendly. The toilet block has two mixed-gender toilets, each with a shower, both spotless and tidy and with great electric showers. We had no issues at all. The village of Ripponden is just a 5-minute stroll away, and it’s a real gem, with plenty of pubs, coffee shops, and takeaways. We enjoyed an amazing Sunday lunch at The Old Bridge Inn, craft beers at Indii Brew Co, and a few ales at The Last Post. Perfect location for walks and exploring nearby Hebden Bridge and Sowerby Bridge. Highly recommended, we’ll definitely be back!
