About Premier Inn Harwich

Premier Inn Harwich is a low-rise, three-floor hotel built in the brand's familiar functional style, with 45 en-suite rooms served by a lift and 24-hour reception. It sits on Parkestone Road, handy for Harwich International Port, Parkeston Quay and the A120, making it a practical base for ferry travellers or anyone passing through on business.

Rooms come with large TVs, drinks-making facilities and the fast Wi-Fi the chain is known for, and beds have earned a reputation for comfort. Some guests do find the rooms run a little warm, so it's worth bearing in mind if you prefer a cooler night's sleep. Downstairs there's a restaurant serving breakfast and evening meals, with meal deals that offer decent value, and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful.

Free parking is available on-site at the front and rear of the hotel, and there's a Costa Coffee nearby for a quick stop. The surrounding area also offers golf, fishing, horse riding and entertainment, plus pubs and restaurants within easy reach for evenings out.

The location of this hotel is it's main benefit. The hotel is clearly a bit dated, as you can hear people walking in the hallway quite easily, and everything is just a bit old in and off itself. There is no airconditioning in the rooms, I arrived right at dusk with a room at 27 degrees, there were loads of mosquitos about, so there was no way for me to properly cool down the room, as there is no screen to keep the mosquitos out. Sadly, there were workers in the parking lot at 8.30, so sleeping in for me was not an option as I did sleep with the window open due to the heat. I did not receive previous notice about this, so I could have kept that in mind. The 24hour reception is great though, meaning you can check in and out at all times, which is great if you decide to get the day-time ferries. Time your traveldates well, and its cheaper with a stay at the premier inn. The

We stayed here because we had to be on the Stenaline the next day. Rooms we're quite roomy with a double bed and a couch. We requested an addtional babycot which was provided properly. Our room was located on the second floor and unfortunately due to the heatwave that week our room was 27,5'C a fan was provided but we're unable to get the temp down. We do have a small complaint there was a 1 inch layer of birdshit in the outside window sill. Service was good both employees we spoke were very friendly and able to help us. Again location is the best only 5-10 min to Harwich Int. Port.

Staff friendly and helpful, rooms clean with all the premier inn usual touches.. However No Air conditioner in the rooms! Arguably only a problem about 15 days a year, however if ur staying on one of them. it gets extremely hot in the rooms! Resturant is a welcome oasis! (If only we could move the beds there)
