Fronks House sits right on the waterfront in Harwich, a working harbour town with genuine history. You arrive at a townhouse spread across three storeys, opening into a generous open-plan living and kitchen space on the ground floor—the heart of the place. There's an open fire here, a dining area, and enough room for a group to move around comfortably. The basement holds a games room with a snooker table and table football, useful when the weather turns or energy levels need redirecting.
Upstairs you'll find four bedrooms: three with double beds and one with three singles, alongside two bathrooms and a separate toilet. Essentials like bed linen, towels, heating and wifi are included, along with logs for the fire. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking rather than making do. Out the back, an enclosed split-level garden has seating and a barbecue, though note there are steps down into it. One small dog stays free. The property is non-smoking.
Harwich itself is maritime and compact—the Waterfront and associated attractions are within reach on foot. Colchester, the oldest recorded town in Britain, is nearby; so is Constable Country in Suffolk. London is roughly an hour and twenty minutes away by train if you want a day trip from base.
