About Buckhurst Campsite
A spacious, family-friendly campsite near Hastings where the atmosphere stays relaxed even when pitches fill up. Buckhurst keeps things simple but does the basics well – showers and toilets are kept clean, there's a well-stocked shop on site, and the staff are genuinely helpful, accommodating last-minute bookings without fuss. Families appreciate the play park and the chance for children to see animals around the site, while campfires are allowed, adding a proper camping feel to the evenings.
With 60 non-electric grass pitches for tents and tourers, plus a couple of Bluebell camping pods, it's a straightforward base for exploring East Sussex. Dogs are welcome, and the lack of WiFi means you might actually switch off for a change. A solid, no-frills option that gets the essentials right.

What visitors say
Nice, quiet place. Fresh toilets and showers. Too expensive for what you get I think. But since everything else in the area was "members only", we were thankful for the easy booking and friendly staff who welcomed us within 15 minutes after calling.

Great family friendly campsite with a cute little play park. Out of the way enough that you don't hear constant traffic sounds but close enough to town to have things to do. The ground is a little uneven but some pitches looked flatter then others I think we just got unlucky. Overall great stay would come back.

It's a very nice campsite with lots of space, shower/toilet facilities are good and clean. On site shop sells ciders/wood/ bit n bobs which was very handy after we lost our tent pegs. Camping neighbours were mostly polite and courteous. Our only gripe was despite saying quiet at 2300 some clowns started karaoke at 0000 which made the other clowns by us try to drown them out with their music which was still going at 0300.
