About Meadowview Park

Tucked into the East Sussex countryside less than 10 minutes from Battle, Meadowview Park strikes a lovely balance between peaceful seclusion and easy access to historic attractions. The site's main draw is its proximity to the Battle of Hastings battlefield – you can explore the abbey ruins, follow the sculpture trail, and soak up views from the abbey roof all within a short drive. Back at camp, there's a relaxed, friendly vibe: campfires and barbecues are encouraged, dogs are welcome year-round (on lead), and facilities include a games room, takeaway, and small on-site shop for ice cream and essentials.

Reviewers appreciate the warm welcome and the tranquil setting, though some note the pitches can be a bit sloping and the site feels slightly tired in places. Still, with accessible bathrooms, tourer storage, and seasonal pitches available, it's a solid, unpretentious base for exploring 1066 country – and the local pub in Sedlescombe is just a 15-minute stroll away.

What visitors say

Highly recommend for families with young children. We came last week in our camper. It's a modest size and independently owned which is a nice change from visiting the big France holiday parks. Very nice welcoming feel ling from all staff and other guests. Us parents and our little ones loved it here. Gary, Sue, Gaz and Shirley made us feel like family and couldn't do enough. We will be regulars now.

Stunning location surrounded by trees. I lovely little sun trap. The staff are lovely too. The shower blocks blew.me away, as every cubicle is equipped for the every mobility range and age, they are large enough to get a wheelchair in with easy and have everything you may need to use ie different height chairs for showering and washing, safety handles for support and hand drier, hair drier and mirrors. This is a very rare find and worth every penny.

We booked to go and stay from the pictures it looks like an amazing green area for our tents. We ended up having to stay at the bottom part for motorhomes which was on a steep slope because the top (tent area) was being renovated, no mention of this when booking. All of the facilities were closed, pub being worked on, shops not even open and no warning of this when booking. Would 100% not recommend visiting here, glad we only stayed one night.

Don't be fold by the pictures as It nothing like that there is nothing to do that the shops are little sheads that don't sell what u need if u don t have a static trailer then the staff and people look down on you and there food shop open for 3 hour everyday and the bar don't open till 12 midday and the prices for drink and very expensive and u also have a man there called shaun that starts on you for no reason and the staff won't do anything but leave him having ago at you and causing problems and the price to stay is very expensive they don't even clean there bins so they have rats and cat litter and cat poo and cat wee everywhere too so I strongly recommend you not to use this place if u want a nice holiday away
