We stopped her on our way to North Wales to get some breakfast. The food was absolutely lovely and I love the atmosphere of the buffet place. Everybody was friendly and chatty. We looked around at the engines but didn't buy ticket on the train.( No time) Parking was free and there was plenty of space.

We joined the Foxfield train for afternoon tea for two as it chuffed through the countryside slowly, and back with a pause in the middle. The food was lovely and the staff/volunteers were wonderful. They let my husband stand in the cab and happily put up with all our questions. We had a lovely time and would definitely do this again.

Great little railway with a station pub, a gift shop and static display of locomotives showcasing the history of the railway and local area, also a good range of rolling stock. Really enjoyed the ride up the line with a mixage of diesel and steam trains running. Really would recommend visiting when there’s an event on such as May and the Wheels of War weekend, What a great day out!
