Ridge Fold Camping

Couldn't ask for a better service, so firstly, id like to thank Jane ( the owner) for her help and service during our stay. Jane is so lovely and very welcoming, very chatty, coming round camp site every evening dropping off fire wood and stopping to talk to all campers. The campsite has amazing views, with some great walks. A visit from the cows every morning, also a bonus for me, me being an animal lover. Its such a lovely place, loads of space for children to play and toilets / shower is always kept immaculate. The only downfall for me and my sons family, 7 of us, was the distance to the nearest shop but that definitely wouldn't stop us going back. Highly recommended. Thanks again xxx

This campsite’s stunning views are definitely its USP but in terms of facilities it’s pretty basic. We appreciated they accepted us as a single-sex group of students as many campsites are unwilling to do this. The firewood and fire pit we loaned were fairly expensive- £15 for the pit, £10 for extra wood on the second night. Be aware there are no extra facilities around- this campsite is rural so you’ll need to drive to access shops and Hebden Bridge isn’t within walking distance. At times we felt slightly unsafe as a group of young women as the site has no service and there are very few people around. We would’ve appreciated some more details about local walks/ how to access the campsite as there was no one there to welcome us. If you want a basic, off-the-grid camping experience this is for you- if not, best head elsewhere. Thank you. Have a good day.

Just arrived home from a wonderful peaceful 2 night stay at Ridge fold camping. The owner is very friendly and welcoming and made us feel right at home .The toilets were lovely and clean and always plenty of hot water to wash up at the outside sink area. We really enjoyed being around the animals and hearing the birds. The site has a quiet time rule from 10.30pm to 8.30am and everyone followed the rules making our stay very peaceful and relaxing. There are some excellent walking routes close to the site and lovely views to enjoy from your pitch. The site is one large flat field with the pitches running around the outside of the filed. This leaves a large area in the centre to enjoy the views and for children to play safely. There is a water tank in the middle of the field, a outside washing up area and a toilet block. All in all my family and i were very happy there and made very welcome my the fantastic owner who is often on sit. We plan to return in the future. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely fantastic pop up site. Perfect field and easy to peg tent down. Lovely clean toilets and fresh water from the large water tank. The views are stunning as are the moorland walks, you can go for miles. Finally, I would like to thank Jane, Graham and Richard for welcoming us on to their land. Couldn’t meet nicer people.
