The Woodshed

The Woodshed comes ready to live in. Electricity, heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all included, and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine all there. Wood for the burner is provided too. You get the whole place to yourself: a converted former shed on two floors, with four sleeping spaces, two bathrooms, and enough room to spread out.

Downstairs is open-plan living with the wood burner, a sun room looking out over farmland, and an entrance hall for boots and coats. Upstairs, one bedroom has an en-suite shower; the other has a zip-and-link bed that can be split into singles. The garden includes a private patio, furniture, a hot tub for four, and parking for two cars. No smoking inside the property.

The location is quiet—surrounded by Herefordshire countryside with access to private woodland on the owners' land—but Hay-on-Wye is nine miles away, and walks like Hay Bluff Hill and the Black Mountain are nearby. Hay Castle and Hergest Croft Gardens are within reach if you want a day out.
