Bamford sits in the heart of the High Peak, surrounded by countryside that draws walkers and cyclists year-round. Easter Cottage occupies a quiet spot just back from the village road, within a hundred yards of a pub and local shops. Built in the 1750s as a weaver's cottage, this end-terrace property spans three floors and sleeps four across two double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.
The ground floor holds a living and dining space with exposed beams and a wood burner, opening onto a small enclosed garden with patio. The kitchen has a gas cooker, dishwasher and washer-dryer, so you can cook properly or travel light. Upstairs are the two bedrooms—one on the first floor with a shower ensuite, one on the second with bath and shower. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. The approach is a gently sloping gravel path; inside, the stairs are steep and narrow.
From here you can walk to Ladybower Reservoir in half an hour or drive there in five minutes. Castleton and Hope Valley are ten minutes away by car, and Edale—where the Pennine Way starts—is twenty minutes further. The Upper Derwent Visitor Centre, with cycle hire and a café, is also roughly ten minutes' drive. No smoking in the property.
