Winhill Cottage

Winhill Cottage is a detached chalet-style property on the outskirts of Bamford, surrounded by the High Peak landscape. The single bedroom has a zip-and-link bed that splits into two singles on request, and there are two bathrooms—one with a shower cubicle, one with a corner bath and shower. The open-plan ground floor combines living space, dining area and kitchen, with patio doors opening to a large garden. A sofa bed in the living room provides extra sleeping space, so the cottage accommodates four people overall.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering: electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer and washer-dryer. Heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The property has parking for two cars on site, a bike store, and a sitting area in the garden with furniture. A pub is within a mile. The cottage sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the Ladybower Dam accessible on foot—a 14-mile circular walk begins from the door. The surrounding area offers climbing, caving, fishing and cycling; riding and pony-trekking are available in nearby Edale, where the Pennine Way starts. No smoking indoors. Children under three are welcome; there is a travel cot and high chair available, though note that horses and farm machinery operate in the grounds.
