Banavie sits on the Caledonian Canal where Neptune's Staircase—a famous lock system—raises boats into the upper waterway. The village has views toward Ben Nevis and sits on the West Highland Line between Fort William and Mallaig, making it a natural base for exploring the Highlands on foot or by rail. Bealach Cottage is a ground-floor property a short distance from the canal itself, with parking on site.
The cottage holds four people across two bedrooms: one with a double bed, the other with two singles. A single bathroom with walk-in shower serves both. The open-plan living space combines a sitting area with dining and kitchen zones, fitted with a cooker, hob, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are provided. A welcome pack is left for your arrival after 4pm.
The Great Glen Way long-distance walk passes through Banavie along the old canal towpath; shorter walks and cycles along the water are equally rewarding. Fort William town centre is reachable on foot or by cycle via Caol. The property does not allow smoking.
