About Ben Nevis Parking
Tucked at the foot of Britain's highest peak, this no-frills hardstanding is a godsend for self-contained campervans and small motorhomes intent on conquering Ben Nevis. You're a five-minute stroll from the visitor centre and the main ascent route, plus the West Highland Way passes right by—ideal for walkers who want an early alpine start without the Fort William commute. The surrounding Glen Nevis scenery is genuinely spectacular, with forests, mountains and plenty of wildlife to spot between hikes.
There are no facilities, so you'll need on-board water and a toilet. Daytime spaces are reserved for day-trippers unless you're staying multiple nights, and dogs must remain on leads because of nearby livestock. Some find the hardstanding-only rule and Just Park booking fees a little irksome, but the location more than compensates. Fort William's shops, bars and restaurants are only five minutes' drive when you need to restock or refuel after a long day on the hills.

Best place to park for 24 hrs @ £15 cash. Closest point to Ben Nevis visit centre (which charges £8 for day parking). Speak to the welcoming owner Kenneth in the house 50m on, and save him the JustPark fees and you some money. Well spaced out parking on flat gravel. Noise from the road all night and early morning hikers. Limited 4g Coffee wagon was open when we came off the hill. Highly recommended.

Very friendly owner however please be cautious if returning late. There is no signage for a closing time and we arrived back to our car having being locked in! Still no sign of the owner at 8am. Had to walk to near by house who had the padlock code. Please update your signage for closing time or clearly explain to users as they pay.

Great place to park overnight , cost £10 but worth it , no facilities but that wasn’t a problem. Plenty of walks around the site and it’s on the West Highland Way trek . There was space for 14 motor homes and campers.
