Birch Corner

Birch Corner sits in the Cairngorms, where mountains and moorland frame a landscape built for outdoor pursuits. The village of Aviemore is close by—walkable distance for shops and restaurants—but the property itself occupies a quiet corner with its own grounds and private hot tub. You have the whole place to yourself, sleeping eight across four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The layout spreads across two floors. Downstairs, an open-plan living space connects the main sitting room (with woodburner and television) to a dining area that opens onto the garden, and a separate lounge with a second television. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with oven, hob, dishwasher and all the basics. Upstairs are the four bedrooms: one with a zip-and-link super king that splits into singles, another with a standard kingsize bed, and two further rooms. Three bathrooms mean no morning queues. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are included; one well-behaved pet stays free.

The Cairngorms offer skiing in winter, mountain biking in summer, and year-round walking, climbing and water sports on the lochs and rivers. The Cairngorm Mountain Railway, Reindeer Centre and Wildlife Park are all nearby, as are more distant attractions like the Highland Folk Museum. Smoking is not permitted inside.
