Chanonry View is a single-storey cottage positioned above Fortrose village on the Black Isle. The layout keeps everything accessible: both bedrooms, both bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining areas are all on the ground floor. The master bedroom has a king bed with ensuite shower; the second bedroom holds two single beds served by a separate bathroom with walk-in shower. A utility room contains a washing machine. The kitchen is fitted for cooking—electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer are all here—and there's a coffee machine too. Wifi and heating are included, as are bed linen and towels.
Beyond the patio doors lies an enclosed garden with seating and furniture. The cottage accommodates four people and has private parking for one car. Fortrose itself is within easy walking distance down the hill, where you'll find shops, cafes, restaurants and a bakery. Rosemarkie's sandy beach is nearby and connects through to Chanonry Point, where the lighthouse stands. This stretch of shore is known as one of the best places in the UK to watch bottlenose dolphins. The Black Isle offers room for day trips and longer explorations into the Highlands, and the cottage sits far enough back from village life that you're undisturbed but close enough to reach things on foot. No smoking is permitted.

We stayed for 9 nights at Chanonry View and loved it! The owners are very kind and helpful. The house itself was clean, beautiful, and well furnished. The view from the gardens to the sea was phenomenal, and the gardens were well suited for sitting out and enjoying the weather. If we could buy the house, we would! As it is, I think we'll try to reserve it for our next trip to Scotland.

Chanonry View is the ideal base for a holiday in the Black Isle. It is located in the most perfect spot with a private garden and the most spectacular views. The accommodation is immaculate with all your holiday needs catered for from beach towels for day trips to Rosemarkie Beach to a locked garden shed to store your bikes when not exploring all that this beautiful area has to offer. Chanonry View is a fantastic example of brilliant customer service, I would highly recommend this holiday let to anyone. A wonderful holiday had by all and didn’t want to come home!

Excellent self-catering accommodation that’s well equipped, clean, comfortable and cosy. The garden wraps around the house with various seating areas while the little pathways through the shrubs make this perfect for playing hide and seek. A highlight is the ever-changing view across the Moray Firth (bring some binoculars!), plus the opportunity to spot dolphins. Fortrose’s shops (excellent bakers and butchers, plus a small Coop supermarket) and restaurants are a 5 minute walk away down a path (may take a little longer on the hill back up), and the Black Isle has many other things to do and places to visit within a short drive. With helpful and responsive owners, Chanonry View is a great base for an enjoyable break.

A wonderful few days in this delightful 2 bedroom house in early May. Perfect spot for couples or a family to enjoy the local area. Everything you need for a long or short visit is contained in this well equipped let that also boasts a great garden to relax in and stunning views of Chanonry Point and the Moray Firth. Delightful.
