Everything you need for a week away is already at The Shore. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included, so you arrive to a properly equipped home rather than a list of things to sort out. The cottage itself is a traditional stone building that has been upgraded throughout, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms for six guests, giving everyone reasonable space and privacy.
Fortrose sits on the Black Isle, right on the Moray Firth coast. The cottage is positioned close enough to the water that at low tide the shoreline is practically at the door; at high tide, a short walk leads to the harbour where Chanonry Sailing Club operates. The village centre is minutes away on foot, built around the ruins of a 14th-century sandstone cathedral. From here you can walk out to Chanonry Point or across to Rosemarkie's long sandy beach. The area is known for bottlenose dolphins cruising these waters, and Chanonry Point is where your chances of spotting them are best.
The Highland interior is close by for days when you want to venture further. No smoking inside the property.
