Clarsach

Big Sand on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands draws visitors for its remoteness and dramatic setting, with mountains visible across the water and Loch Gairloch stretching beyond the shoreline. Clarsach sits elevated above the beach itself—a timber-clad house designed to make the most of its position, with large windows framing those views from almost every room.

The ground floor is arranged as one flowing space: a living area with a woodburner and smart TV opens onto a dining area and kitchen equipped for proper cooking, with a dishwasher, combi microwave and electric oven. There's also a games room with a PlayStation 5, a separate utility room, and three bedrooms—one with a kingsize bed and ensuite shower, two others with zip-and-link twin beds that convert to doubles. A family bathroom has a bath with shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, along with logs for the burner. An enclosed front garden has a terrace with seating and a BBQ; private parking fits three cars, and there's an electric vehicle charge point if you need it.

The house sleeps six and is yours alone. One dog is welcome. It suits families or groups wanting both comfort and genuine Highland scenery, with Big Sand beach accessible from the garden and the Torridon mountains visible from the windows. No smoking inside.
