Cobbler’s Cottage
Highland
The Isle of Skye draws walkers and explorers to its moorlands and coastline, and Cobbler's Cottage sits within easy reach of Skye's interior. This former 19th-century byre—once believed to house a rural cobbler's workshop—has been converted into a compact, self-contained retreat set in the owner's grounds near Feriniquarrie. The cottage is a single storey throughout, accessed by two steps.
Inside, the open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas under one roof. The kitchen is generously sized for cooking, with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, and extras like a slow cooker and wok. A double bedroom looks out towards Macleod's Table and down to the Hamara River, while the shower room has a large cubicle and heated towel rail. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all provided; the heating is electric and centrally controlled. You have parking for one car on site.
The property sits within an enclosed, lawned garden with seating areas and furniture, shared with the owner. Beyond that, six acres of grounds slope down to the river, where you can fish for sea trout and salmon. No smoking inside.
