Coulags Croft suits families and groups of up to six looking for a base in the Western Highlands. The detached cottage has three bedrooms—one double and two pairs of singles—and three bathrooms spread across two floors, so there's space to spread out. Essentials like bed linen, towels, wifi and electricity are covered, and the kitchen is equipped for self-catering with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and freezer.
Location is the real draw. The cottage sits at the foot of Fuar Tholl with direct access to serious hill walking: Munros like Maol Chean dearg and Beinn Laith Mhor can be climbed from the house, and the footpath to Torridon is close by. Gentler options include riverside and coastal walks, or cycling the North Coast 500 route just a short distance away. Red deer and sometimes eagles are part of the scenery here. The Western Highlands and Isle of Skye are reachable by car, and a pub and restaurant are 3 miles away.
The ground floor has a living room with TV, DVD and CD player, a shower room, and the kitchen. Outside, there's an enclosed front garden with patio seating and a larger rear garden with a sitting area. Parking for three cars is on site. The cottage does not allow smoking. Note that the water comes via a spring supply, and the rear garden has unrestricted public access.
