Five Diabaig - Lily Lodge
Highland
Photo: Google Maps
The drive to Diabaig itself is memorable—mountain passes, forest, and loch views all the way. Nine miles beyond Torridon, the road opens onto a hamlet of crofts and cottages arranged around a bay with a historic curved pier, all backed by rocky hills. This is where Lily Lodge waits, a detached house built and finished to a high standard with uninterrupted views across water toward distant mountains.
The house holds five bedrooms and three bathrooms, sleeping ten across the full property. Downstairs, a vestibule leads into a generous hallway with two bedrooms (one double, one twin) and a shower room. The main living space is open-plan with a sun room—a light-filled area that capitalizes on the setting and the views, where the family can eat, watch films, or simply sit. A utility room has direct access to the garden. Upstairs are three further bedrooms, two large with en-suites overlooking the bay and mountains, and a smaller double with views toward hills and crofting land. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. The property is non-smoking.
This is suited to groups wanting to spend time together in one place—extended families or friends—with the landscape right on the doorstep and the specific character of Diabaig itself as part of the stay. A separate bothy in the grounds provides additional accommodation for two if needed.
