Glas Doire Lodge

Glas Doire Lodge is a detached property in Glen Roy, where everything is on one level and a wet room with grab rails and shower seat makes it accessible for those with reduced mobility. Two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—sleep four in total, with a living room, dining room and kitchen all on the ground floor. The essentials are covered: heating, electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included, and the kitchen has what you need to cook properly.

Outside, an enclosed garden with terrace and BBQ faces open countryside, and two cars can park on site. The lodge sits in a working crofting township in Glen Roy, a National Nature Reserve famous for its parallel roads—an Ice Age geological oddity. Walking, bird watching and simply sitting quietly are what most visitors come for, though Lochaber nearby has mountain biking trails, kayaking, mountaineering and skiing. Ben Nevis, Loch Linnhe and the Great Glen Way are all within reach for day trips. The Hogwarts Express steam train runs up to Mallaig from Fort William; Neptune's Staircase on the Caledonian Canal is also close. No smoking is permitted.
