A mile outside Drumnadrochit, where Loch Ness meets Urquhart Bay, this detached cottage sits within 1½ acres of natural woodland. The village itself has shops and restaurants, and immediate access to the Moray coastline and wider Highlands – Inverness is 14 miles away, Culloden Battlefield and Urquhart Castle are nearby, and the Malt Whisky Trail lies within reasonable reach. The grounds include a river where herons are regularly spotted, reached by a short walk, with seating areas to watch the wildlife.
The cottage is all ground floor: one double bedroom, a shower room, and a living room with a 43-inch smart TV and Netflix. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob and microwave, opening into a dining space. Bed linen, towels, wifi and electricity are included; wood for the burner is provided initially, then £5 per basket. A cot and highchair are available. One small dog stays free. Outside there is parking for one car, an enclosed garden with furniture and a BBQ, and a bike store. The property does not permit smoking. Note that an unfenced river runs through the grounds, accessible on foot.
