Aviemore sits at the heart of the Cairngorms, with mountain activities on the doorstep and the River Spey nearby. Lodge 58 is a ground-floor property in Aviemore Lodge Park, set back from the main tourist bustle but close enough to pubs and services. The whole lodge is yours alone, with space for four guests across two bedrooms—one double, one twin—plus a shower room and separate toilet. A wood-burning stove in the open-plan living area and patio doors onto private decking create a place to settle in after exploring.
The kitchen has everything needed for self-catering: gas cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine. Bed linen, towels, heating and wi-fi are all included. Two cars can park on site. One dog is welcome if kept on a lead. Note that check-in is after 3pm and checkout before 10am.
The Cairngorm Mountains are a short drive away, offering walks, biking and winter sports depending on the season. Glenmore Forest Park and Loch Morlich suit kayakers and walkers; Loch an Eilein has an island castle and is popular for picnics. The surrounding forests—Rothiemurchus and Abernethy—are home to red squirrels, ospreys and wildcats. No smoking inside the lodge.
