Mackenzie Cottage

Mackenzie Cottage is a detached house in Poolewe, a few yards from Loch Ewe. The kitchen has everything needed for self-catering: electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave and slow cooker. Downstairs there is a living room with an electric woodburner and a bedroom with a single bed, plus a bathroom with roll-top bath and a separate shower room. Upstairs are two further bedrooms—one with a zip-and-link superking that can be split into singles, the other a double. Electric heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, along with a washing machine and freezer for longer stays.

The cottage sits within an enclosed garden with seating areas and furniture. There is parking for one car on site, with additional spaces on the road nearby. One well-behaved pet stays free. The village of Poolewe is within walking distance and has cafés and other basic amenities. This part of the Highlands is known for its beaches, seals, otters and bird life, and the subtropical gardens of Inverewe are a day trip away. The cottage does not allow smoking.
