The Narrows

The Narrows sits on the banks of the River Ewe in a private, enclosed garden. This detached cottage is entirely on the ground floor: two bedrooms (one king, one with twin singles), two bathrooms, and a living space with a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Everything you need is provided—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—and there's parking on site.

The location matters here. Walks begin straight from the property along the riverbank and into the surrounding hills. The area is known for wildlife: sea eagles, otters, dolphins and whales appear regularly in the water nearby, and pine martens have been spotted at the picnic table outside. The North Coast 500 route runs close by. A shop and pub are a mile away; the subtropical gardens at Inverewe are five minutes' drive. The mild Gulf Stream climate means the landscape stays green and unspoilt year-round.

The cottage takes one small dog. No smoking inside. It suits anyone looking for walking, wildlife-watching, or simply time away from crowds—whether that's a week or a few days.
