Oakwood Glamping Pods - Osprey Glamping Pod

The Highland town of Aviemore sits at the heart of the Cairngorms, a landscape of mountains, lochs and forest that draws visitors across all seasons. Oakwood Glamping Pods occupies a caravan and camping park here, offering self-contained stays that put you within reach of year-round activities without tying you to a tent. The Osprey pod is a single-storey structure with a bedroom, shower room, and enough space to cook and eat.

Inside, bunk beds arranged as a double on the lower tier and a double above sleep four people. The shower room has a cubicle and heated towel rail. A hob, fridge and microwave let you prepare straightforward meals; a collapsible table serves as a dining surface, and outdoor furniture (stored on the decking) extends that to the air outside. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all included, and the pod is heated. One parking space comes with the booking, and one dog can stay free.

Aviemore and its surroundings suit families and small groups year-round. Winter brings skiing and snowboarding at Cairngorm Mountain; summer opens up cycling, kayaking and walking trails including the Speyside Way and the circuit around Loch an Eilein. The town itself fills with Harley Davidson enthusiasts each year for Thunder in the Glens, Europe's largest gathering of the kind. Smoking is not permitted inside the pod.
