The property sits in mature gardens with established trees and shrubs, enclosed and private, with patio space and parking for two cars. One dog stays free.

The ground floor holds a kitchen with two ovens and a gas hob for serious cooking, a dishwasher, and two living spaces—one with a woodburner, the other quieter for reading or games. There are four bedrooms upstairs: one with a zip-and-link super king (or two singles on request), two with kingsize beds, and two with singles. Four bathrooms means no queuing. Wood for the burners is provided to start, along with wi-fi, linen and towels; heating and hot water are on the bill. A highchair is available if needed.

The high ceilings, solid wood flooring and sweeping staircase are original Victorian; the kitchens and bathrooms are modern. Shops, restaurants and a supermarket are minutes away on foot or by car. Smoking is not permitted inside.
