River View comes ready for a group or family to arrive and cook, with everything from a dishwasher and slow cooker to a wood burner already lit and initial fuel included. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are here; electricity and heating are covered. One dog stays free. The kitchen opens into a dining and living area, so you can prepare meals while staying connected to the group, and there's a utility room with washing and tumble-drying facilities if you need them.
Three bedrooms sleep eight: the main has a king bed and ensuite shower, the second holds a double and two bunks, and the third is a double. Two bathrooms between them mean mornings run smoother. Downstairs, a separate toilet serves the ground floor. Parking for two cars is on site, and the enclosed garden has furniture, a barbecue and chiminea for evening gatherings.
Dalwhinnie sits in the Cairngorms, with the local distillery within walking distance and walking and cycling trails starting from the cottage itself. The Apiary at Dalwhinnie is nearby. Smoking is not permitted. Check in is after 16:00, checkout before 10:00.

We stayed in this beautiful house again for the 5th year running, such a lovely place to stay, very spacious and well equipped. Loads of beautiful places to visit within half an hour drive and so relaxing. Can’t wait to visit again.

We booked this property on 21/11/2026 and have just been informed that our booking for 06/04/26 will not be honoured, that's just 6 days before the day of arrival! The fee was paid in full upfront as the booking was made through Bookings.com, and I have a confirmation document, but when I sent a pre-arrival email to the property owners to check our arrival time they said that "the booking hadn't filtered through to them". I found out that this was just nonsense, as when I checked with the booking company they had fully completed all their normal booking confirmation process with the owners and marked it as confirmed on their system. This a trip was booked to spread a close relatives ashes to honour her last wishes, and we are devastated. If I hadn't checked with the owners of this property about our arrival time, we would have made the journey north only to find out we had no accommodation when we got there. They had no intention of telling us the booking would not be honoured and no intention of doing so. I would recommend you never book anything with them, as they are untrustworthy individuals with quite obviously little or no regard for clients that book with them.

Beautiful part of Scotland, the house we stayed in at dalwhinnie was beautiful everything there you need and the owners are lovely very helpful, would highly recommend

Absolutely fabulous house very quiet location perfect for the dog everything you could have needed in a very quiet town with some great walks and dalwinnie distillery 10 minutes walk which was good for an hour on a rainy day
