Riverview Cottage

Acharacle sits on the edge of Loch Shiel in the western Highlands, surrounded by moorland and mountains. Riverview Cottage is a bungalow here, looking out across open ground toward the loch and hills beyond. One bedroom has a king bed, the other two singles; there's a bathroom with bath and shower. The whole place is yours alone, and one well-behaved pet can stay free. Ground floor living means an open-plan space with a wood-burning stove, dining area, and kitchen fitted with an oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine—everything you need to cook properly rather than rough it.

Outside, the cottage sits in landscaped grounds with a large enclosed garden, a stream running through it, and sitting-out areas with furniture. There's parking for two cars and a bike store. Initial logs for the stove are provided, along with bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi; heating is electric. Families with very young children will find a travel cot and high chair available, and there's a welcome pack for human guests and doggy extras for your pet.

The location works well for anyone wanting to explore the area. Loch Shiel offers boat trips for wildlife watching, fishing is available nearby, and the surrounding countryside has walking trails and moorland to discover. The Ardnamurchan Peninsula and Isle of Skye are within reach for day trips. Note that smoking is not permitted inside the property.
