The Bay

The Bay is a contemporary holiday home that sits on the Trotternish Peninsula on the Isle of Skye, within walking distance of The Old Man of Storr. One bedroom, one bathroom, sleeping two, the property is yours alone on a ground floor that opens into a single flowing space. A kingsize bed, a shower room with heated towel rail, a kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge, and a living area with a 32-inch Freeview television make up the layout. What distinguishes it from many holiday properties is the external utility room: a washing machine and tumble dryer are on hand, a genuine help for anyone staying longer than a week. An external sitting area, bike store and private parking for one car complete the setup. Wifi, electricity, bed linen, towels and a welcome pack are provided. The property draws its water from a natural spring.

The accommodation suits couples, or anyone wanting a private base for exploring. The Old Man of Storr is a 1½-mile walk away; The Quiraing, Fairy Glen, Duntulm Castle and An Corran beach—known for fossil dinosaur footprints—are all within a short drive. The Cuillin Mountains and three other peninsulas lie beyond. The nearest shop, pub and restaurant are 8 miles away. No smoking throughout.
