3 Breckery
Highland
3 Breckery is a two-bedroom croft cottage dating from the 1870s, sitting alone on a quarter-acre of enclosed ground half a mile from the coast in Highland. The house works well for a family or small group wanting to bring a dog; the garden is fenced and gives direct access to open countryside. Parking on site accommodates two cars.
The ground floor contains a living room with woodburner, a kitchen/dining room with electric cooker and microwave, and a shower room. Upstairs are two double bedrooms—one also has a single bed—connected by an unusual stair layout that's worth knowing about before you book. The property has electric heating, and bed linen and towels are included. A sand and shingle beach lies two miles away; the nearest shop is four miles off, and the nearest pub seven. The setting opens onto views across the Sound of Raasay towards the mountains of Torridon, making it a solid base for walking, wildlife-watching or simply sitting out to take in the landscape. Smoking is not permitted.
