The Junipers

Farmland surrounds The Junipers on the edge of Tain, a working farm setting that opens onto fields and forest tracks leading down to the beach. The location sits quietly away from traffic, yet Tain itself—with its shops, restaurants and distillery—is a short drive, as is Royal Dornoch Golf Club and Achavandra Horse Riding Centre.

The property is a single-storey farmhouse with three bedrooms: a double, a twin and a single, sharing one bathroom with bath and shower. Ground-floor living means no stairs; the kitchen is large enough for family meals, with electric cooking, dishwasher and all the basics for self-catering. An electric wood burner warms the sitting room. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included. There is parking for up to three cars and a garden with sitting-out space.

A travel cot and highchair are available. The farmhouse does not allow smoking. This is somewhere to settle for a week or use as a base for exploring the Highlands, with Dunrobin Castle and Dornoch Beach both within reach by car.
