Tigh Beag works well for couples or small families after genuine quiet. The cottage sits at elevation in a crofting township, looking out across the upper Spey Valley with the Monadhliath Mountains behind. It dates from around 1850, though the kitchen and bathroom are modern additions. Everything is on the ground floor, reached by two steps to the entrance.
Inside you have a living room centred around a wood-burning stove, a kitchen with electric oven and hob for proper cooking, and two bedrooms—one double, one single—served by a bathroom with bath and shower. There is a washing machine. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, along with fuel for the stove. The front garden is gravelled with seating and furniture; the rear is a larger lawn. Parking for two cars is on site. The property is non-smoking.
This is deep Highland country within the Cairngorm National Park. The locality is genuinely remote and rural, suited to those seeking isolation rather than convenience. The nearest towns are small, and the appeal lies in the landscape and the wood stove rather than in activities or amenities nearby.

We had THE MOST AMAZING New Years stay at Tigh Beag! It's so perfectly put together, with a verrry well equipped kitchen, two beautiful double bedrooms and two big bathrooms, wood burning fire, useful entrance for dirty boots and big coats, lovely big windows you can open, car charging, and even a washroom to do laundry, etc. Location is also ideal in the way that you feel perfectly remote and isolated, yet still well connected, with some of the most impressive landscapes just minutes away. And the view is second to none, but I'm sure everyone says that! I've really never said this about any hotel or accommodation, but one day I really really hope to return 🤞

Fabulous, clean and cosy cottage with stunning view in a great quiet location right on the banks of the Loch! The owners Gordon and Iona are friendly, lovely people who will do anything to help. Nothing is too much trouble. Everything inside and out is just perfect. The house is probably one of the best equipped we have stayed at and has comfy beds and sofas. Torridon is just wonderful for walking, climbing and exploring with incredible scenery which is easily accessible from Tigh Beag. We had a fantastic week and would highly recommend this house.
