Woodside Hut 1 is a single-storey timber lodge on a working croft in the Heights of Achterneed, near Strathpeffer. The hut sits on high ground where the panorama stretches across multiple Highland landscapes—glens, forest, mountains and water visible from the windows. Everything you need is contained in one open-plan space: a living area with kitchen, dining corner and separate bedroom, plus a shower room. The double bed measures 4ft 6in; electricity, heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all supplied.
Outside, a seating area with a firepit looks across the croft's 18 acres, and a private hot tub for two is set into a raised deck. You'll park for one car at the property. The croft produces its own honey and other goods, delivered as a welcome pack. The location works as a base for exploring the northern Highlands—the Black Isle is visible across the Firth, and the NC500 route is accessible for coastal drives in either direction. Strathpeffer itself, a Victorian spa town, lies close by. The hut is no-smoking.
