Woodside Croft - Woodside Hut 2

Woodside Hut 2 opens directly onto an open-plan living space where the first thing you notice is the window. From here, the landscape unfolds in layers: forested slopes, glen, distant peaks, and on clear days, the sea. The hut sits on a working farm in the Heights of Achterneed, where sheep, chickens and ducks graze between the parking area and your door. A welcome pack—sometimes including honey from the on-site hive—arrives with you.

The single bedroom contains a double bed (4ft 6in). The shower room has a cubicle and toilet. The kitchen is equipped with an electric hob, combi microwave-oven-grill, and American-style fridge freezer, so you can cook properly or keep things simple. Electricity, heating, wifi, bed linen and towels are all provided. Outside, a private hot tub for two sits on the decking, with seating and a firepit in the enclosed garden.

Strathpeffer's Victorian town centre is minutes away. The NC500 route passes nearby, the Black Isle lies within view across the Cromarty Firth, and most of the northern Highlands are accessible as day trips. The hut is no-smoking and sleeps 2 people.
