Woodside Croft – Woodside Hut 3 suits couples seeking seclusion with a sense of place. Set on a working 18-acre croft in the Heights of Achterneed, the hut commands views across the Strath and glens toward distant mountains, forest, and the sea beyond. From the enclosed front garden with its firepit and seated terrace, or from inside, the Highland landscape dominates. A private two-person hot tub sits on the decking outside, positioned to take in the panorama. The croft remains active – sheep, chickens and ducks move through the farmyard you pass on arrival, and a welcome pack (including local honey when in season) arrives at your door.

The interior is on one level: a combined living and dining space, kitchen with electric cooking and full-size fridge, a double bedroom (4ft 6in bed), and shower room. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. Parking for one car is provided. The location puts Strathpeffer's Victorian spa town within reach, and the NC500 route lies nearby for those wanting to explore the east or west coasts. The Black Isle is visible across the Cromarty Firth. Most of the northern Highlands are accessible as day trips. Smoking is not permitted in the hut.
