Holt's own accommodation is concentrated in and around its Georgian Market Place, where several former coaching inns now operate as pubs with rooms, alongside a well-regarded boutique bed and breakfast housed in the town's oldest building. Staying in the centre means everything, from the antique shops to the Saturday market, is within walking distance, and it suits visitors arriving by train via Sheringham who would rather not rely on a car.

For a wider choice, and for sea views that Holt itself cannot offer, the coast villages a few miles north make an easy alternative base. Blakeney, Wiveton and Kelling each have well-established hotels and pubs with rooms set among salt marsh, heath and working quay, all within a fifteen-minute drive of Holt's shops and restaurants. These properties tend to be busier at weekends and through the summer, when the coast road villages fill up, so booking ahead matters more than it does in Holt itself.
