About The Blakeney Hotel
The Blakeney Hotel sits directly on the quay at Blakeney, around four miles east of Wells-next-the-Sea, and has built a long-standing reputation for traditional hospitality on this stretch of the north Norfolk coast. Sixty individually decorated rooms make it one of the larger hotels in the area, many with views across the estuary towards Blakeney Point. The restaurant has held two AA Rosettes for its cooking, and the hotel's leisure facilities, including an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym, are unusual for a hotel of this style and setting. Seal-watching boat trips to Blakeney Point depart from the quay just outside, alongside paddleboarding and kayaking on the estuary. Blakeney itself is a smaller, quieter village than Wells, built around flint cottages and the same saltmarsh landscape, making the hotel a good base for anyone wanting a slightly more genteel setting within easy reach of Wells, Cley and the wider Norfolk Coast Path.

What a lovely hotel, excellent food to with old fashioned service. Gluten free options nothing being too much trouble. We will certainly be returning. Returning to the food I can honestly say its one of the best fillet steaks ive ever had.

I absolutely love this hotel and we've been coming for years as our children have grown up, from wild lunches with toddlers to weekend celebrations for landmark birthdays. The service in the restaurant is always absolutely incredible. The team there is led by a brilliant man whose service skills are brilliant, and he has obviously trained the other members of staff to follow in his footsteps. The food is absolutely delicious, and I love having dinner included in the rate - it is so relaxing and easy and the menu being different every night is great. The rooms are really nice - we like the dog-friendly rooms in The Granary - and the beds very comfortable. I hope the Blakeney Hotel never changes.

The Blakeney Hotel hosted a large family lunch for us, second time we’ve used them for this and even better than last time. Impeccable 3 course meal, great food, left stuffed to the gunnels. Richard, our event manager was a great host and the rest of the staff were super helpful. One of our party was staying in the hotel rooms as well and said they were spotless and very comfortable.
