Tucked into an old orchard on a quiet smallholding near Church Bay, Anglesey Yurts offers a proper escape into North Wales's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The owners call this spot a genuine suntrap, and it's easy to see why guests linger – each yurt comes kitted out with a full kitchen (cooker, fridge, all the utensils), private enclosed shower, hammock, firepit and barbecue, plus there's a washing machine on site for longer stays. Wood and kindling are provided, so you need only bring matches.
From here, the 18-mile North Anglesey Heritage Coast path runs from Church Bay to Dulas, threading past rugged cliffs and hidden coves, while the island's watersports scene – sailing, windsurfing, kayaking – is all within easy reach. It's a laidback, wildlife-rich setting where you can spread out among the apple trees and blackberry bushes, though facilities can feel a touch basic if you're used to more polished sites. Still, for those after a secluded island retreat with plenty of outdoor adventure on the doorstep, this smallholding ticks the boxes.

Absolutely fabulous stay in Caban, their cute little converted shipping container. Such a peaceful setting and the perfect base for exploring all that Anglesey has to offer. Ideal for a solo break, the sofa bed was fine for one and is a double so does technically sleep 2. Lovely bit of outside space and it was easy to find. I'll definitely stay again!

The ideal location for a peaceful relaxing break. The yurt was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We cooked on the barbecue every night, but the shared kitchen was spotless and very well equipped. The washblock was also spotless and there was plenty of hot water. The area is beautiful with stunning beaches and breathtaking scenery. Even my dog had the best holiday!

We stayed in the Sgubor barn conversion and had a fantastic 7 night break, whole place was clean and comfortable and warm. Had views across fields and Snowdonia from the living room doors. The private jacuzzi was lovely. Even got greeted by the Collie each morning.

Facilities were great. Hot tub was definitely worth paying extra for. Host was very accommodating and resolved any minor issues. The booklet with instructions could do with having more contact details for the local takeaways
